- CFCs (Chlorofluorocarbon) : gases that can be dissociated by solar radiation, which release chlorine, which in turn destroys ozone.
- Methane : A hydrocarbon that is a greenhouse gas with a global warming potential.
- Carbon Dioxide : It is a greenhouse gas that traps terrestrial (ie, infrared) radiation and conrtibutes to the potential for the global warming.
- Nitrous oxide : A polluant that is a greenhouse gas (chemical symbol N2O). It is mainly produced by burning fossil fuel (eg; emissions from gasoline in a car).
